The Tucson Alliance for Autism (TAFA) in partnership with the Tucson International Airport, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and American Airlines (AA) will implement the very first “Fly SAAFE (Southern Arizona Autism Flight Event)” program. This program will allow families to participate in a “curb-to-plane” experience at the Airport so they are better prepared to travel with their child or children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
“Fly SAAFE” provides a “dry run” for families, simulating steps involved for air travel as if the family was going on a real vacation. The experience will include airport parking, entering the airport, checking a bag, going through security, waiting at the gate, boarding the airplane, pre-flight safety brief, exiting the airplane, collecting their bag at baggage claim and departing the airport.
“Fly SAAFE” will take place twice a year. Space is limited and registration is required.
To register, please contact the Tucson Alliance for Autism at (520) 319-5857 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
THE NEXT FLY SAAFE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE OCTOBER 18, 2016!
